Lady V's Youth Development is an Anchor
On April 27, 2015, Joan Marion Guthrie....my mother, died. I have been imprinted with the value of service and living my life with gratitude but most importantly doing what I love doing. That was one of her last comments when I shared with her some of my beginner business frustrations. "Does it make you happy?"she asked. I said "I love it" Then she said emphatically "then keep doing it!" And I have....Since my mother was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. Queens Alumnae Chapter, I couldn't think of a better way to keep the memory of my mother's life alive than through a college scholarship. In 2015 the year of my mothers passing Tamar Darnell received the Joan Guthrie Scholarship Award. Tamar Darnell, is a resident of Queens, NY. She has an undergraduate degree from Oneonta College in Fashion, Buying and Merchandising. Since graduation, Tamar and I continue to work together. This weekend I asked Tamar to craft a collection of Vintage and Lux pleasures from Lady V's 2ndTimeAround showroom. Please join us this weekend when we pop up at 187-04 Linden Blvd 11am-6pm and celebrate and affirm your passion for fashion and style.
